Carlos Antonio Flores

Board Of Directors Member - Chief Executive Officer

Carlos Antonio Flores is the President & C.E.O. for Coronado Distribution Co. Originally from Los Angeles, CA. A graduate of San Diego State University Mr. Flores holds a B.A. in Public Administration. In his role Mr. Flores is in charge of CDC’s company vision, culture and financial growth. During his guidance he has lead CDC to five straight years of over 336% annual sales growth.

Mr. Flores began his career in the United States Navy as a Logistics Specialist aboard the Emory S. Land AS-39, Naval Support Activity La Maddalena, Italy, and USS Kidd (DDG-100). During his enlistment he received numerous awards and recognition for his supply chain knowledge and acumen. It is this strength and love of supply chain management and logistics that drove him to found Coronado Distribution Company.

As a leader Mr. Flores has empowered his employees to innovative solutions to reduce government costs, filling inventory, and reducing lead times to be in step with our customers requirements. Fully understanding the needs of diversification of revenue. Mr. Flores has expanded CDC’s customers base, product offerings and also added facilities management to the services CDC provides.

Setting the tone for future growth and constantly searching for experience professionals to join CDC. Mr. Flores is dedicated to building strategic alliances with manufactures to provide the best technology and solving problems our customers face every day.

Frank L. Bütts, Esq.

Board Of Directors Member - Vice President

Frank L. Bütts was born in Los Angeles, but grew up in the small town of Fallbrook, California. Atty. Bütts is a graduate of San Diego State University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in English. Atty. Bütts is also a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he graduated in the top 20% of his class with a Juris Doctor Degree.

Although Atty. Bütts did not serve in the military, his father Lawrence C. Bütts is a veteran having served his country as a submariner in the U.S. Navy and Atty. Bütts is related to American Revolutionary Captain John Paul Jones, “The Father of the United States Navy,” through his mother’s (Kaärla E. Bütts) side of the family.

After being admitted to the California State Bar in 1995, Atty. Bütts joined the Law Office of Charles J. Jamison (Solana Beach, CA). In 1999, Atty. Bütts started his own practice, Frank L. Bütts & Associates, where he worked as outside corporate counsel for several multimillion dollar corporations that distribute and supply much of the produce found in local supermarkets throughout the United States. In 2002, Atty. Bütts became a partner with Marc A. Geffen, Esq. and they started Geffen & Bütts, LLP (Vista, California) concentrating their practice in the areas of business law and litigation.

For almost two decades, Atty. Bütts has been closely involved in the daily operations of running his own business and actively counseling dozens of businesses, of various sizes, with their corporate affairs. Atty. Bütts is still a licensed attorney and is intimately familiar with the restrictions and requirements of FAR and DFAR.

In his role as Vice President of CDC, Atty. Bütts’ duties are to procure government contracts and to ensure that those contracts are in compliance with the rules, regulations and the law.

Brian K. McManus

Sales Manager

Mr. McManus brings over 30 years of Business to Government and Business to Business experience working with all Branches of Federal, State & Local government and private sector businesses.

Mr. McManus began his career working for United Parcel Service in Logistics. In addition to founding a successful Automation Company that is now in its 23rd year of operations, Mr. McManus went on to work for several Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies in key roles during his career including UPS, Cintas, and, most recently, Grainger Industrial Supply where his role was the Sr. National Government Sales Manager for the Department of the Navy, United States Marine Corps and the Defense Logistics Agency.

Mr. McManus is considered to be a subject matter expert in Government Logistics and Contracting, providing solutions for both Government customers and Manufacturers who want to bring their products and solutions to the government marketplace. In his tenure at Grainger, Mr. McManus was responsible for negotiating and securing IDIQs, 3PL, 4PL and FSSI awards as well as NASPO (WSCA) and multiple Co-operative purchasing agreements for State government customers across multiple segments.

Kelley M. Murphy

Director of Business Development

Kelley Murphy joined Coronado Distribution Company (Coronado DC) as the Director of Business Development in the summer of 2015. He was brought on to run Coronado DC’s 8(a) service contract department. He is a native San Diegan who was born and raised in the Navy town of Coronado, CA, home of the World Famous Seal Teams and BUDS program. He went to school at Coronado High School, graduating with Honors and then attended the University of California, at San Diego (UCSD), also graduating with Honors. After College, he travelled down to South America where he lived for a year and taught English while volunteering for various Charities.

He began his sales career working for Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and continued working in various sales roles for Fortune 500 companies including FedEx and Grainger. In all of his sales roles he increased sales revenue and attended multiple Annual Achiever and President’s Clubs. Mr. Murphy has over 18 years of sales and business development experience and in his first 6 months at Coronado DC won his 1st 8(a) sole source direct award with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Texas for over $1.2 Million. In his role as Director of Business Development he is charged with uncovering and winning 8(a) service contracts with all branches of the Federal Government.

Frank Fierro III

Senior Operations Manager

Frank Fierro III, has recently joined Coronado Distribution Co. (C.D.C.) as their Operations Manager. He brings over thirty-seven years of operations and management leadership, customer service experience, logistics support, and vast export knowledge while working with W.W. Grainger, Inc. As a Branch, and Market Manager, he was responsible for expanding Grainger’s market presence through operation and sales growth, and service efficiency improvements in the San Diego and Northern Baja Mexico marketplaces. Mr. Fierro is a graduate of Heritage Christian College in El Cajon, CA. with a B.S. in Business Management and a minor in Psychology, and he received his graduate M.A.M. degree in Business Management Leadership from the University of Redlands, in Redlands, CA.

During his time with W.W. Grainger, Inc. Mr. Fierro had the privilege of twice receiving the prestigious Presidents Club Award, and six Annual Achievers Awards for achieving excellence in leadership, teamwork, and customer service. He has resided in the San Diego County for the past 28 years and has a strong knowledge and experience in servicing and delivering successful growth throughout the years in the domestic, export, and government markets. Frank Fierro is a proven leader who is dedicated to building winning teams and effective leaders. He is committed to improving the business operation, building an enthusiastic team that’s devoted to service excellence, and increasing C.D.C.’s influence in our dedicated markets.

John S. Duncan

Comptroller

John Duncan is the Comptroller for Coronado Distribution Company. He’s originally from North Carolina, and he is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Mr. Duncan has many years of experience in heavy industrial and commercial construction where he specialized in the accounting and administrative capacity. His management and leadership experience include responsibilities as time-checker, paymaster, office manager, accounting manager and business manager.

In his various rolls he has also had overall project responsibility for administrative and accounting functions; while assuring that these commitments were performed in accordance with established project/company procedures. Mr. Duncan has extensive experience in administering in the following activities:

Purchasing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cost accounting, administration, warehouse operations, and human resource responsibilities.

He has a proven track record of service and operation excellence, and he is committed to delivering the high standards and integrity that the Coronado DC company exemplifies.

Antonio S. Fry

Contract Specialist

Antonio S. Fry, is Coronado Distribution Company’s (CDC) Sales Manager. He’s originally from Chicago, Illinois, and he proudly served in the United States Navy as a Logistics Specialist. He retired after 24 years of dedicated service. Mr. Fry brings over twenty five years of leadership, management, and customer service experience that includes a vast knowledge of government procurement.

His naval career provided him the privilege to be stationed aboard the USS Brunswick ATS-3, the Navy Overseas Air Cargo Terminal Yokota AB, JA, the Commander Fleet Air Western Pacific, the USS Curtis Wilbur DDG-54, the Naval Technical Training Center Meridian, MS, the Commander Amphibious Squadron Three San Diego, CA, the USS Decatur DDG-73, and more recently with Commander Naval Beach Group One where he oversaw a budget of 66 million dollars and supported more than 1,000 military personnel. Mr. Fry had the honor of receiving numerous awards and recognitions for his supply chain knowledge and leadership including Navy Commendation Medal (three times) and Navy Achievement Medal (nine times).

In his role as Sales Manager, Mr. Fry has streamlined the procurement process in the contact center and has enabled Coronado Distribution Co. to rapidly respond to its customer’s needs. His duties include managing CDC’s outside sales representatives and customer contact center. He is focused and ensuring that his team is dedicated to navigating their customers to solutions that help them get the job done by working through multiple service channels to consistently provide a high level of service. Antonio Fry’s military service knowledge provides him with a unique understanding of “mission critical” requirements, and this experience has been instrumental in bridging a gap between civilian industry and government purchasing. Mr. Fry’s dedication to serving the United States Military remains strong as he continues to serve the men and women in uniform.
